VIDEO: Areas identified for Wildcat survival

The Scottish Wildcat is one of the world’s rarest animals with experts estimating there could be fewer than a hundred left in the wild.

The cats are under threat because of loss of habitat, disease, and because they have been breeding with domestic cats.

Conservationists have identified six areas in the Western Highlands as places where the wildcat has the best chance of surviving.

Breakfast’s Graham Satchell has been to visit the project.
